According to Idaho laws, you and the other parent should consider the following factors when making decisions regarding the development of your parenting plan:
1. The wishes of the child's parent or parents.
2. The wishes of the child.
3. The interaction and interrelationship of the child with his or her parent or parents, and his or her siblings.
4. The child's adjustment to his or her home, school, and community.
5. The character and circumstances of all individuals involved.
6. The need to promote continuity and stability in the life of the child.
7. Domestic violence, whether or not in the presence of the child.
The Idaho courts realize you and the other parent know your own situation better than anyone else, which is why this is your opportunity to create a parenting plan that will maintain a family structure that is in the best interests of your child(ren).
